Match Report – PAK vs NZ 1st T20I, April 18, 2024

Throw New Zealand decided to bat versus Pakistan

New Zealand has won the throw and chose for bat. Under cloudy circumstances in Rawalpindi, on a day where the game has been moved back by thirty minutes inferable from harsh weather conditions, Michael Bracewell chose to set an objective for the hosts. In the first of five T20Is, New Zealand has given a presentation to large-hitting Tim Robinson, with the carefully prepared Ish Sodhi the sole expert spinner in their XI.
Babar Azam, in his most memorable game back as chief for Pakistan, said he would have decided to pursue at any rate. Pakistan’s side is somewhat new-look, as well, with three debutants in the side. Usman Khan, Irfan Khan, and Abrar Ahmed have all been covered at T20I level interestingly. Imad Wasim sits out, as does Azam Khan, who is recuperating from a niggle. Shaheen Afridi highlights his most memorable match since losing the captaincy, while Mohammad Amir plays his most memorable global match since his return from retirement.
